This could be one for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ fans….its fun and small!
This was a really fun project to work on. It is an interesting design. When you look at it from the right angle it looks 3D and you get the right perspective……but sometimes you don’t!
I have always liked the shape and symbolism of the Ying and Yang and wanted to see how Ash and Elm would contrast in the making of the symbol……I think it works well.
Remember I mentioned being obsessed with shapes? Well, here is an outcome of that obsession.
I was looking for a couple of tables to stand each side of my fireplace, I also wanted to be able to light them discretely, these are just perfect! The tables are made from Elm, finished with Danish Oil and the tops finally finished with a wax coating.
I liked the idea of a large mirror over the fireplace and this one certainly fits the bill.
I needed a bedroom mirror and couldn’t find one I liked to match the Indian Sheesham dressing table I had bought recently so I made this one.
I just loved the simplicity of this clock by Steve Good, it is crafted from Elm, sourced locally, from the sawmill at Laithes and is mounted on a stable stand.
I had a period where I was obsessed with shapes for making tea-lights and this was a result of that obsession….I know where are the tea lights? Search the site, you will find them!
